Iota Soul - Manga/Anime to Help Orphans
Helping Orphans Through Manga/Anime Storytelling
Ok, so I have a little mission for you all to do today and every day. I want you to go out and help someone. A friend, a complete stranger, a kid you see getting bullied at your school or somebody you no longer talk to but wish you did. It can be anybody and everybody. Tell them that they are important and special no matter what anybody else says; they are unique and one of a kind...that they can never be replaced. Share their reactions, how you responded to them and how you felt after with us here at Iota Soul. So be the one to cause the change, brighten someone's day even if your day was bad...you could save someone's life by your simple act of kindness. It only takes one person to make a difference in someone's life, to make an impact that they will always remember. So think twice before you call somebody fat or ugly or a whore or any name; you do it sometimes without realizing what your saying or the negative impact it has on a person's life...You don't know what that person could be dealing with. THINK TWICE. It starts with you and it can end with you. The difference starts with YOU. YOU are the difference.

Permalink Reply by becky buss on May 1, 2012 at 6:27pm I remember helping a really elder lady. The library manager told me to make some friends since they let me volunteer at the library. So out of my act of kindness i offered to carry her books to her house cause it was in winter. She said she didnt live far and i walked with her. Until 20 minutes later she did live far and my fingers were red from the bag. When we did get to her house she had a black cat named kuji (i was fond of her). The old lady offered me a dollar and a glass of koolaid (i tried to refuse the dollar).I dont like koolaid but i drank it because she had it out already so i didnt want to waste it. I dont know if this counts in helping as much but its all i can think of. Otherwise i usually pay it foward.
